Yukata is one kind of kimono.
However, there are also much more expensive versions of kimono, for example
made out of silk and with complicated hand-made drawings, which are worn
at a wedding ceremony or by maiko (Japanese geisha). This kind is called
wafuku. Wafuku is very expensive (Several thousands dollars) and not worn
by Japanese on a regular basis. |
