Absolutely fantastic service. The kimono and especially the Obi are gorgeous and very wearable. The tabi socks were thoughtfully chosen to be closer to non-Japanese sizes (European size) so that my larger feet actually fit. Great idea to get novices and people that don't have confidence, to get started wearing Kimono, Yakuta, Furisode, etc. In these strange times when everywhere people are calling out others who wear clothes from non-western cultures as 'cultural appropriation' and throwing a lot of negativity around when all people are trying to do is to honour and share, it's wonderful that Japan and in particular Kimono Yukata Market are asking people to wear and share. Arigato Gozaimasu! with gratitude
I've been wanting to purchase a kimono for a while but was never really sure where to start or felt the cost was too much.
When I saw this set at a great price with free shipping, I jumped at it, and absolutely glad I did. The quality of the kimono and the obi is great, and they're beautiful items I'll be able to pass on to my own daughters. If anyone is on the fence, just go for it. One thing to keep in mind if you're taller the fit may be off. I'm 5'10'' and the sleeves are shorter on me.
Keep in mind, the pic posted is a quick first fitting, it's not properly adjusted at all. Do take the time to look up videos. Putting on a kimono isn't like slapping on a shirt and jeans, but can be very rewarding once you get it down right.
I got this kimono gift set for one of my friends on their birthday and they loved it! and even cried. them being a japanese american it was the first time they've ever properly owned a kimono before, this website was so easy to find and everything was reasonably priced(a deal to be honest) will for sure buy from again and amazing packaging and service!! ♡
