Japanese kimono / SK #1036
|This item is from a kimono auction where only a limited number of professional kimono buyers can participate. It is a one of a kind. Traditional kimono is likened to "wearable art" since dozens of artisans' techniques are used in one kimono. These traditional techniques and designs are breathtakingly beautiful and it is hard to find words to describe them.|

Beautiful Kimono arrived very fast. A very strong smell of mothballs suggested that the item had been stored for some time, but also ensured that the fabric was in extremely good condition .After airing, the smell resolved. Fabric was thicker than expected - very high quality silk. I an very happy with my kimono, which I had bought to wear as a 'dustcoat' style mid season coat, but as it is designed to be worn wrapped I found it was a little long to be worn open. I have been loving wearing the kimono wrapped with a wide fabric belt ,it is so comfortable - now I have a giant wishlist ! I will be purchasing a Haori next !
The pictures do not do this kimono justice! It is beautiful and very well made! Thank you!
I love with this piece. My first actual kimono after much reading about them. I'll need to aquire all the parts that make it complete for proper wear. In the meantime I've paired it with a gold silk sash and it's a beautiful robe.

This Kimono is more everyday and a delightful shade of Aqua blue. Will be for everyday use and is very comfortable. Great purchase.
