Having worked in the kimono business for many years, this is the first time I have ever come across a men's kimono of this length. Because Japanese men were traditionally shorter on average, men's vintage kimono of this size are extremely difficult to find and very rarely appear at auction.

What makes this piece even more remarkable is its AA condition. Finding such an unusually long vintage Montsuki in this beautiful condition is truly exceptional.

If a kimono of this quality and size were custom-made today, it would cost well over US$2,000.

This is not simply a beautiful kimono—it is a genuinely rare piece.
